Español Uno (1):
Today's Learning Objectives:
1. Practice our spelling in Spanish. In addition to using the vowel sounds--a, e, i, o, u--keep in mind that the "rolled R" sound is written as "rr" in the middle of a word. If you hear a "rolled R" at the beginning or end of a word, it is written with just "r."
--1. cre-pús-cu-lo
--2. chi-co
--3. bu-rro
--4. a-rro-yo
--5. (1st period): re-na-cua-jos, (2nd period): re-mo
2. Receive Wednesday and Thursday's exams. Complete two copies of the "Score Analysis and Reflection." One copy is for you to keep, the other goes in your writing folder for me to read.
What does the Score Analysis tell you? Which are your areas of strength and weakness? Did you budget your time well during the test? How could you better prepare yourself for our next test? When is our next test?
3. Listen to our song of the week: "Vida más simple"
4. Cut out some new numbers and practice putting them in unpredictable sequences:
New numbers:
40—cuarenta
50—cinquenta
60—sesenta
70—setenta
80—ochenta
90—noventa
100—cien
101+—-ciento
**Sesenta (60) and setenta (70) sound very similar. One easy way to keep these clear is that 60 comes before 70, just as the s in sesenta comes before the t in setenta.
Homework: If you did not finish your Score Analysis and Reflection for our first test, please do so and place one copy in your writing folder tomorrow.

On the sheet provided, show your guesses for the meaning of new words.--When your partner is completing his/her speaking test, please fill out the remaining forms of the listed verbs on our blue "present tense" verb packet.
**Since not all of the speaking tests were completed today, they will continue in class tomorrow.
Homework: None.
