viernes, el veintinueve de enero del dos mil diez

Español Uno (1):

Today’s Agenda:

1. Discuss upcoming weekend plans, answering our fundamental question: “¿Qué vas a hacer durante el fin de semana?”

2. Listen to and sing our song of the week: “Bonito.”

3. Establish new gestures for:

--escoge algo
--escoge a alguien
--cuesta
--los encuentra

CULTURAL NOTE: **Quick tangent off of our discussion about how money denominations are traditionally written in Spanish. Traditionally, the punctuation used for money is reversed in Spanish. So, for instance, $1,000,000.00 would traditionally be written as $1.000.000,00.

4. Review yesterday’s homework: 6-1 & 6-2.

Nice observation that we do not capitalize the titles Mr./Mrs./Miss in Spanish if they are in the middle of a sentence. It is perfectly correct to write, for instance, “¿Cómo está Ud., señor García?
