Español Dos (2):

Today’s Agenda:

1. Receive yesterday’s listening quizzes.

2. Receive a blue packet for the imperfect tense. You have been hearing and reading the imperfect tense all year long, without knowing that it is officially called “the imperfect.” Examples include tenía, quería, iba a …, podía, estaba, era, hacía sol, había, se llamaba, eran las dos, sabía, le gustaba, no entendía.

Now you are officially going to see the conjugation behind these words.

For the final exam, you will only need to understand the imperfect verbs when reading them (which you already do!). You will be held accountable for conjugating them after the final.

3. Practice our chapter 5 gestures.

4. Read “Ten Ways to Not Be Taken for a Gringo.”

Homework: Come prepared for your quiz on the “Ten Ways….” article. Come prepared for your speaking quiz on Thursday/Friday.

There are THREE more class days until final exams…keep studying your pink packets and blue answer key to the grammar pre-test.
