1. Add some updated emotion words to our “¿Cómo estás? / ¿Cómo estabas?” face page.
--confundido/a (confused)
--sorprendido/a (surprised)
--enamorado/a (in love)
Quick discussion with the following questions:
--¿Estabas sorprendido que hoy haga sol?
--¿Estabas sorprendido que los Mariners ganaran?
2. Listen to our new song of the week: “Paces” by los Aterciopelados. Nice job catching the next three missing words: necesitamos, lo, otra.
WOW! I was impressed by how many of you could tell me how to say “I cleaned,” “Let’s make,” “peace,” “already,” and “I changed,” just from memory. You’re clearly doing a great job of following along with the lyrics in class and picking up extra high-frequency words.
3. Illustrate six scenes from yesterday’s story.
4. Practice retelling the story with a partner.
Homework: Using your illustrations, practice retelling the story aloud in the past, as well as the present. Can you change perspective (past-->present), which is a level 5 acquisition skill?
