Español Uno (1):

Announcements: Your final exam will cover the following chapters: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4/12, & 5. While we won’t spend as much time on chapter 5, you will notice from our pink packet that you already have learned more than 50% of the list, so it will be an easy chapter for you.

Today’s Learning Objectives:

1. Practice speaking with our essential questions from the first two speaking assessments. With a partner, answer questions 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 & 30.

2. Receive the chapter five pink packet and define the new vocabulary.

3. Receive a new song: “La familia tradicional.” Using the new chapter 5 list, translate the missing words in the song.

4. Listen to and sing “La familia tradicional.”

5. (1st hour only): Begin the homework.

Homework: 5-1 & 5-2 in the workbook (EVERYTHING additionally translated to English). Remember…to take up my special final exam offer you need to have no missing work.

2B. Alone or with a partner (while I am conducting speaking exams), complete the following:

--cultural reading: “Ten Ways to Avoid Being Taken for a Gringo”
--chapter four practice exam
--original story illustrations…you are FAR BETTER artists than me!

Homework: If you didn’t finish the cultural reading in class, it would be a good idea to do so at home.
