Español Uno (1):

Announcement: If you did not hear your name called out at the beginning of class, you still have missing work. Remember, in order for your final exam score to potentially supersede your class average, you need to have all work submitted.

Today’s Learning Objectives:

1. Finish last week’s one-on-one speaking assessments.

2. While I am working individually with students, you are to continue with last week’s options:
--cultural reading (“How Not to Be Taken for a Gringo”)
--make-up assignments that are missing/incomplete
--practice packet with extra readings
--practice speaking, using illustrations that you have (or illustrations you make)
--any other preparation for the Spanish final exam

Homework: Prepare for your final!

1. Practice writing new words utilizing your accent rules.

2. Answer questions relating
--¿Cuántas horas pudiste dormir anoche?
--¿Qué trajiste contigo a la escuela?
--¿Qué evento especial hubo hoy?
--¿Dónde estuviste ayer a las cinco de la tarde?
--¿Qué te pusiste hoy?
--¿A qué hora viniste a PCFC esta mañana?
--¿Qué tuviste que hacer en la primera hora?

3. Practice speaking, using the original art of Shannon H. and David P. Good work changing perspectives from a story about “they” to “we” and a story about “him” to “I”!

4. Practice writing a present-tense story in the past.
