Español Uno (1):
Today’s Agenda:
1. Review our direct object pronouns (“it” & “them”), our –ar preterite verbs, and our personal pronouns.
2. Listen to our new song of the week: “Dímelo.” Nice job catching the first two missing phrases: me miras, nuestra.
Quick review of our possessive pronouns:
mi(s)…………………….nuestro/a(s)
tu(s)…………………………………………
su(s)……………………..su(s)…………
3. Practice telling spontaneous stories using class members’ illustrations.
Bits of advice for this week’s speaking assessment:
--NO English is allowed. If you accidentally say something in English, fix it and put it in Spanish.
--BRIEF hesitations are fine, but if you’re really stuck, move on and start the next phrase.
--Remember, “hay…” already means “there is….” You NEVER say “Hay es….”
--Keep your story limited to just one person.
Ways to keep preparing for the speaking assessment:
--Reread your stories.
--Make flashcards of those high-frequency words.
--Practice telling spontaneous stories using others’ illustrations.
4. Listen to some brave volunteers share their stories aloud with us.
5. Practice writing a spontaneous story using a story illustration.
Homework: The remainder of the week includes a vocabulary, grammar & speaking assessment each. Keep preparing yourselves!
