Español Uno (1):
Today’s Agenda:
1. Practice some of our basic questions, in preparation for our first speaking assessment.
--¿Cómo te llamas?
------Me llamo John.
--¿Cómo estás?------Estoy bien (cansado / triste / etc.).
--¿Qué día es mañana?
------Mañana es jueves.
--¿Cómo eres?
------Soy (atlético / inteligente / creativa / etc.)
--¿Qué hiciste durante el fin de semana?
------Fui al partido de fútbol americano. (Vi una película.)
**Quick discussion about strategies during the speaking assessments. It is much better to say something inaccurate and in Spanish (“Tomorrow is Sunday” instead of “Tomorrow is Thursday,” for instance), then to use English or not say anything at all!
2. Listen to our song of the week: “Eres.”
3. Take our first listening assessment.
Homework: None, although if you haven’t yet made flaschcards for our chapter 1 pink packet vocabulary, that would be wise!
