martes, el veintiocho de septiembre del dos mil diez

Today’s Agenda:

1. Practice pronouncing unknown words in Spanish. Great job! If you could correctly pronounce these words, your brain subconsciously understands accent rules in Spanish. We'll learn the explicit accent rules this year, but keep trusting your gut instinct for now!

2. Listen to our new song of the week: “No entiendo.” Nice job catching the first two missing phrases: se va, ya.

3. Practice our Ch. 1 gestures, and begin to learn our “irregular yo song” and corresponding gestures.

4. In table groups, tackle a practice reading for story comprehension. We will have a real reading comprehension quiz on Thursday. The best way to prepare is to thoughtfully work through the practice readings and to review our Ch. 0 reading vocabulary.

Homework: (Due tomorrow): Parent signature for Friday’s reading quiz. Remember to read the story in ENGLISH! (Due Thursday): Workbook pages 1-1 & 1-2 (with even numbers additionally translated).
