1. Continue reviewing two of our weakest grammar topics on our last quiz: demonstrative adjectives & pronouns (this/these/that/those/that (far away)/those (far away), as well as sentences using helping verbs with a reflexive verb…She should wash her hands.)
2. (5th period only): Receive your written section of the cumulative test, and make corrections.
3. Practice our ch. 4 gestures and our cucaracha song for the irregular preterite verbs.
4. Continue working on the packet of irregular preterites & ch.1-4 vocabulary.
Homework: Be ready to turn in your packet tomorrow. A handful from each page will be graded for accuracy, and the grade will go into your grammar category.

1. Review the homework: 4-3, 4-4.
2. Listen to our song of the week: “Inolvidable.” Nice job catching the next three missing phrases: encontrar, se fue, me digo.
3. Finish filling in our irregular preterite verbs on our blue preterite verb packet. We filled in the forms of querer, venir, estar, tener, saber, caber, traer & conducir.
We discussed how some of these verbs change meanings in the preterite. The preterite is all about conveying ACTION.
--“quería” (s/he wanted)……………. “quiso” (s/he wanted & tried)
--“estaba” (s/he was)…………………. “estuvo” (s/he was…but it’s OVER)
--“tenía” (s/he had)……………………. “tuvo” (s/he had…but it’s OVER; s/he got (an idea))
--“sabía” (s/he knew)…………………. “supo” (s/he found out)

2. Discuss upcoming weekend plans.
3. Quickly discuss the ch. 4 objectives on the new ch. 4 pink packet. We have eight remaining irregular preterite verbs to learn this chapter! By the end of the chapter, you are officially accountable for all 17! We will be learning a little song to the tune of "La cucaracha" to help us memorize those irregular, preterite verbs.
